Godard Makes his Choice
A friend who lived in the same street as Godard in Geneva said:"More and more people here, including closest friends, have taken this way out and Polly and I will also subscribe to membership at Exit. Straight forward and sober and easy. Actually, nobody talks about it much. Godard wanted explicitly to have it mentioned. I guess to encourage people to decide themselves when they had enough. By the way, Freud did the same: He asked his physician for an overdose of morphine. Nothing gloomy or morbid about that, just a last act of self-determination and realism"

Re: Godard Makes his Choice
Yes...a GP in Holland said it was his responsibility to bring his patients safely into the world via birth, and was also his responsibility to usher them out safely, via death...devoutly hope this will be made OK in the UK...we don't ask to be born, but would be balanced by being able to make the decision at the end...as Godard did, as Freud did...without having to pay a lot of money to do this..19 September 2022 Queen Elizabeth 2's funeral..someone quoted Corinthians 'a time to be born and a time to die'..well if we do not choose to be born, if we wish to choose a time to die we should be able to do so...please let the UK agree soon....
