The Rosen Method can be described as "heart work" embracing the human experience with empathy and directness.

The Rosen method is designed to help individuals to soften their barriers to life and to connect with repressed feelings and emotions.

Receiving a Rosen Session brings awareness of what may be important in a person's life.It is a way of exploration for the person who would like more out of their life, and who wishes to connect more to their body's inherent wisdom. It can help to integrate the physical, emotional and spiritual within and transform this awareness into positive action in one's life.

WHY TRY ROSEN METHOD BODYWORK?

Rosen works through the physical level to the emotional content of the body. The tightness of muscles, shows that our posture may have kept hidden some of our truths, as we try to protect ourselves from painful memories like fear, guilt and feelings that we could not handle at some point in our lives.
Energy is used to keep this tension and this posture in place, causing imbalances on a physical and emotional level.

Alan Fogel says: Chronic suppression of emotions predisposes people to cardiovascular disease,
high blood pressure, colitis, ulcers, fibromyalgia, asthma. It impairs the immune system leading to growth of some types of non malignant and malignant tumors. (See "Rosen method bodywork:practice and science" by Alan Fogel).

HEALING THROUGH THE ROSEN TOUCH

Marion Rosen emphasizes the importance of the quality of touch in a Rosen Session. In her book she says "Instantly after we touch someone there is created a different relationship with themselves. Even a casual touch seems to create a touch."

Rosen "touch" connects us with our inner knowledge bypassing the tendency of the mind to intellectualize. When we discuss our problems intellectually we don't seem to get the same depth as when we connect with the body.

In a Rosen Session practitioners touch in an unobtrusive and supportive way. Their presence and attention, working without an agenda to change things, create a spaciousness and freedom for the person to experience him/herself in a deeper way".

A Rosen practitioner is trained to notice restricted breath patterns, identify chronic muscles tension, enhance awareness through verbal dialogue as well as insights, memories and emotions that arise in a non judgmental manner.
When the body no longer needs to hold itself together through muscle tension the energy used to keep that holding in place is released and the person can often feel vitality, self connection and a renewed sense of choice and purpose in life.
