Maybe we should give it more recognition.

Let's go for a raft of recipes,(Grayson Perry and the 14 ingredients on another post come to mind) starting with (rather boring) steamed brocc and brown rice, how about ginger, and flaked almonds, or soaked cashew nuts--but I have a cook at my side saying broccoli has a great taste on its own when steamed, and then pour a light amount of good olive oil,(with garlic crushed into it) salt and there you go--for those seeking a stonger taste you could add chopped fresh deseeded red Thai chili,or Scotch bonnets--

and a little lemon oil
(make lemon oil by buying unwaxed lemons, slicing them, covering with good olive oil- leave for a couple of weeks, then you have lemon infused Olive Oil and the lemons are delicious chopped & sprinkled over the broccoli)--you could alternatively put a little sprinkling of garam masala over the brocc
before you serve--also try smoked paprika--there's a raft for you! TThe whole point is to retain the basic taste of the veg which is SOOO good for you but give it a twist!Best thing is just to keep on experimenting for yourself-and if you come up with some wizzy new combos, please post here!!
